Obituary for Keith Grose
William Brian Keith Grose February 1968 – August 2017. Resident of Stouffville, Ontario. Keith passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family and close friends on Monday, August 28, 2017 at the Toronto General Hospital. Keith was born and raised in Mount Albert, Ontario and after working on the family farm and gaining experience in a variety of business ventures, Keith settled into the wood industry and became the owner of Century Mill Lumber in Stouffville, Ontario.
Keith was the beloved husband of Patricia Grose (Hiebert), and proud and loving father of Katie Grose. He was the beloved son of Helen Grose Ratcliff and the late Lloyd Grose, cherished stepson of the late Howard Ratcliff, and dear son-in-law of John and Carol Hiebert. He will forever be remembered with love by his beloved siblings Donna (Ivan Betcherman), Dale (Martial Martinez), and Kevin Grose (Mary-Anne), step-sister Karen (Jack Wilkinson), siblings-in-law Doug Hiebert (Deanna) and Dave Hiebert (Alicia), nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and by his extended family and friends who were blessed to know him.
Keith had a deep love for his family and friends and his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Keith was able to light up a room with laughter and love, and his strength of spirit was an inspiration to anyone who knew him. In addition to bringing joy to those he loved, and spending time with his little girl, Keith loved working at building and designing, and was a successful entrepreneur in business. He also enjoyed listening to classic rock, telling or hearing a good joke, spending afternoons with family and friends at the beach or on the dock, travelling to new parts of the world, and being part of the Bloomington Gospel Church.
Keith touched the lives of many with his generosity, his smile, and the example he set. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 31 from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, 8911 Woodbine Avenue, Markham. Funeral service will be held Friday, September 1 at 2:00 p.m. at Springvale Baptist Church, 3885 Stouffville Road, Stouffville. A brief visitation will be held at Springvale Church one hour prior to the scheduled service. A reception will be held at Springvale immediately after the service.
The family would like to thank Dr. Cusimano and the medical staff at Toronto General Hospital for their unending effort, warmth, and understanding. In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
