Condolence From: Jonathan Shaw & Family
Condolence: Dear June & Family. It is with real sadness that we learned of Heinz's passing. Our family first worked with Heinz as a customer of Patterson Industries (through his connection with our Uncle Bernie Alm) and then later as I was part of the business group that met for many years. I always valued his experience and wise counsel, always coming from a faithful biblical perspective. He loved and served the Lord in all that he did. And it was so obvious the love he had for his family as he shared so many memories of family adventures. I pray you will know God's peace as you mourn his passing, but also celebrate the memories and the fact he is now with his Lord and Saviour.

Condolence: Dear June & family

I was so sorry to learn that Heinz had passed away. He fought a valiant fight with grace and dignity. His positive and friendly outlook is a model for us all. I will always remember the fun time we all had playing tennis. He will be sadly missed by his friends & family here and in Germany and by his tennis buddies everywhere.

Condolence From: Gordon and Susan Lawson
Condolence: Our relationship with Heinz began professionally as a patient and grew to a deep friendship. Heinz was always a force to be reckoned with when he entered the office. He took an interest in all the staff and demonstrated caring to all those he met. His Christian faith exuded from his every pore and he looked for opportunities to share the love of Jesus. We consider it an honour and a privilege to have known him and the entire family.
We will miss him.

Condolence From: David and Wendy Harrison
Condolence: Heinz was a dear friend, a member of our Christian business fellowship group. A man of deep faith who wanted to share his faith in his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, at every opportunity. He would excitedly relate to our small group of the changed lives he would see when he lead the ESL (English as a Second Language) classes at Bayview Glen. Heinz and I would enjoy theological discussions and he was quick to share concerns on matters that were close to his heart. Heinz was very generous and I know that many charitable organizations, especially the JFJ Hope Centre, were recipients of both his time and personal finances. A 'typical German', Heinz was lovingly stubborn in his ways. I will surely miss him until we join him in Glory. David (and Wendy) Harrison

Condolence From: Barbara Leimsner
Condolence: My partner Brian and I offer our sincere condolences and sympathy to June and the children at this sad time.

As Heinz and June's neighbours at their Haliburton cottage for many years since the early 1960s, I recall Heinz as a young man before he and June were married, when he was fresh out of university and enthusiastically building the original A-frame building perched on a rock cliff. I recall meeting June's parents from England up there, and we knew from the sparkle in Heinz's eye that June was special and here to stay.

Even after so many years, I'll always remember Heinz's friendly good humour, his "can-do" attitude and drive as a new Canadian in those early years, and some of our chats across our sunny cottage docks or over tea at our cottage.

It's difficult to find words to say just now, but you're in our thoughts.

Never forgotten...
