Condolences

Condolence From: Joan and Lorne Avery
Condolence: We were so saddened to hear of dear Aunt Helen’s passing. We loved her very much. She and Uncle Merlyn have been an important part of our lives from our earliest childhood memories. As our daughter Virginia remarked, when informed of her passing, “Uncle Merlyn really hit the jackpot with her, didn’t he?” Aunt Helen was among the kindest, most gracious and pleasant people we have ever known. The passing years treated her gently as she retained her wonderful personality and interest in life and her ability to engage with family throughout her long years. We enjoyed visiting with her each time we were home and she always welcomed us with open arms and a happy smile. She was a wonderful lady and we will miss those visits with her. With Aunt Helen’s passing, that generation of Aunts and Uncles whom we cousins (and many of our spouses) knew so well is sadly now entirely gone. They were special people.
Our sympathy to cousins Gertrude, Morgan, John and Peter and to their children and grandchildren whom Aunt Helen loved and was always happy to tell us about whenever we asked about the newest additions to the large photo display in her room.

Condolence From: Margaret and Ron Walton and family
Condolence: Helen was a lovely gentle woman. Ron has great memories of happy family times with Aunt Helen and Uncle Merlyn at the farm at Baker Hill. It was a good thing Helen was such a good cook because the Baker's could certainly eat. Over the years Helen was always a quiet but strong presence, a support to all her knew her but specifically to her sister Millie and Millie's husband Albert when Millie fell ill. Our condolences to Morgan, Gertrude, John and Peter and the rest of of the family. Unfortunately we could not be with you today but are with you in spirit.

Condolence From: Sheelagh MacDonald
Condolence: My sincere condolences in the loss of Helen.
A lovely graceful lady!
I know my mother, and sisters and brother will miss seeing her lovely smile when we came to visit our mother.
She will be truly missed.
Sheelagh MacDonald, Maureen's eldest child
