LILLIAN CHRISTINE TELFER, unexpectedly went Home to be with her Lord and Saviour March 27, 2017 at Bethany Lodge, where she was loved and cared for since 2008.
Daughter of the late Tom and Eileen Telfer. Loved sister of her only remaining sibling George, sisters-in-law Audrey and Eileen. Predeceased by Douglas, Dorothea (David), Isobel & Marion Ruth. Loved Auntie to Ruth Woods (Brian), Margaret Killing (Steve), Eleanor Swift (predeceased by Dr. John Swift), Elizabeth Barrington (John), Joanne Nugent (Paul), and Greg Telfer (Heather). Loved great Auntie of many nieces & nephews. Lillian lived in contentment and honoured her Beloved Lord. She had many special friends through her long life, and continued to show love and concern to all the residents and staff during her years at Bethany. Lillian recently celebrated her 93rd birthday.
Lillian had many business years at H.C. Burton & Co., Lenbrook Industries, Consolidated-Bathurst and Peak Frean Cookies, where she continued to hone her purchasing skills. She served the Lord faithfully as a Sunday School teacher from the primary classes upward, loved encouraging many on the mission field, volunteered at “Food for the Flock” magazine as Secretary, at MSC Canada for over 11 years and then gave of her time and talents volunteering at Bethany.
Special thanks to the nurses and staff of Bethany Lodge for their years of patient love and care, and accepting her “quick wit” with off-time repeated phrases of humor. Donations may be made in Lillian’s memory to Bethany Lodge Foundation or FBH International.
